This course is aimed at those people who need to carry on earning while they study. It is hard work, but the class times are designed to allow busy people to attend. This course has been designed to train you to become a qualified journalist while you continue with your current job.
The programme will be delivered one evening a week and on a Saturday.
The core skills that make up good reporters are:
- Good communication skills – both written and verbal
- A passion for news
- A willingness to work hard
- An inquiring mind
- A wide general knowledge
If you think you have these attributes, the course may well be for you. It will be hard work, but you will be led by working journalists very focused on achieving your goal of passing the NCTJ Diploma while also gaining a broad knowledge of multimedia journalism skills.
