Do you have a passion for telling stories that matter to people in your community and beyond? Would you like to improve your writing and social media skills to enhance the content of your website? Or maybe you want to get started in journalism but are not sure how?
In just four weeks, you could gain an introductory journalism qualification (worth 16 UCAS points) while being trained by one of Europe’s leading media companies.
PA Training, part of the PA Media Group, is running a summer school in July in central London*. You’ll be working towards the NCTJ Foundation Certificate in Journalism (CFJ) and will gain a raft of new skills including video, podcasting, improved writing and an awareness of media law.
The CFJ provides invaluable new skills for those producing factual content, on blogs, websites and social media. It can act as a stepping-stone to the full NCTJ Diploma in Journalism, the most recognised entry-level qualification for the UK news and media industry. This is also delivered, separately, by PA Training.
A tailored version of the course, focusing on Women’s Sport Journalism, was delivered successfully for the NCTJ and Nike last year.
All your tutors are experienced senior reporters and editors who have been mentoring and training new journalists for many years, including broadcast, online and print media.
Apply between June 5 and June 30 to receive a £100 discount. Places are limited.
